I'm getting worried about family in east Ponchatoula that flooded twice in 2016. Looks like a shite ton of rain coming our way again.

We’d be leaving elderly family behind. We have the attic prepped and tools to get out just in case the worst were to happen.

We prepared for one category above, cat 5. A lot of people are still here. Hopefully the marshlands can absorb most of the surge

I would be too. Can't believe how fricking incompetent Latoya is. In what world was it too late to tell people they should leave if they can?

Did that earlier Bunch. Took a few breaths and realized I will just deal with whatever shite gets dealt next.

It may suck, but that is what you have done up until now.

Are we talking downtown Ponchatoula or somewhere else? I've never heard of the city flooding. I know on the east side it floods like a mofo towards Bedico with the rivers there.

You folks, please stay safe. This thing looks like a monster. I’m scared that most of Louisiana will be on the wrong side of the eye. (Not that there is a good side). Seems like every damn year y’all catch hell

So to the people in here from Ponchatoula and Springfield earlier, how far north do we think Lake Maurepas can be pushed and how fricked are we going to be with the rivers having no where to run off, on top of the wind concern with the shift east?

My house never flooded before 2016 and located in a flood X zone. However in 2016, with all the rivers around us hammered, we flooded. I'm started to get worried this might happen again with the amount of rain and storm surge coming in. Of course the massive amount of winds won't help either. We took down most of the trees around us over the last two years thankfully

Looks like a good push of water towards Ponchatoula. Manchac will have a serious problem.

No shite. A good crew of millwrights and pipefitters can pull, rebuild, and install a pump in a shift. To have any of these pumps out during hurricane season is pure malfeasance in office. 12 hour shift that is.

And she could have said it over 24 hours ago. But it was "too late" with 54 hours to go. Most incompetent of all her decisions. Just hope it doesn't result in massive loss of life.
