Well, they already issued a voluntary evac and I saw people hoarding groceries and gas already. LC people are traumatized and rightfully so.

Pumps at old Breakplace across from Conselatta were dry at 5pm.

you were literally just talking about it being worse in new orleans this year than last year for zeta and i asked you why, and you said "forecast" when that is a complete lie

Nope I was just literally replying to someone who lives in the Sherwood/Coursey area of Baton Rouge - which is the same area where I live

ETA: was replying to Dingeaux & lsursb

Yep Lake Charles prepared well for this one. I guess we’ve done this a time or two. Prayers for SELA.

You were in here for multiple pages talking about how miserable it’s going to be in Nola and now this is the update that makes you leave?

Anyone know when they’ll update the River forecast to reflect the projected rainfall?

Pull the '17 AMS papers by Hazelton.

I actually remember him referencing that work in a Twitter thread over the past couple years.

Yeah looks to me that the latest track is a not so subtle move to the East. Almost zeroing in on Houma now.

We are in the 6th filing and didn’t flood during that big storm in May so not concerned with taking on water. Couple of trees in the neighbors yards overhang our fence that’s concerning.

Will probably have a conversation in the morning, CenLA is one of our options unless we want to get out of state to a hotel

The weather channel dude appears to have been right.for now at least. Said earlier over Houma and just west of NOLA was his prediction.

Can someone post the gray map with the black line that shows exactly where the new update takes it?

It’s crazy how quick this storm goes from a major hurricane to a tropical storm. Maybe that’s normal and I’ve never paid much attention to it.

12 hours over land will do that.
