Would not recommend staying if you have kids. I stayed in JDP and it was surreal and frightening listening to the wind howl and there’s nothing you can do about it. I couldn’t imagine the horror of staying in Calcasieu or Cameron during the storm

Any posters live in St Tammany Parish? Staying or leaving? I have three little kids. Not at risk of flooding but would suck to lose power. Typically we are at low risk of power loss.

In Mandeville with 3 little kids. Have a hotel booked but playing it by ear
