That's hard to answer since we don't know the exact track yet but I'd imagine they'd still get hit pretty good over there on the current track.

Way I see it is if you can go somewhere with a better situation than what you currently have, I'd do it. Example, sturdier structure, home generator, no trees flooding risks, etc.

Neither option seems very appealing at this point.

The only good thing about a Louisiana hurricane is that it brings out all the best TD comedians. This thread has all the lolz.

That's just the Boat, he's an IRL comedian, plays at the titty club ib BR.

What’s the ruling if you have a carport with a garage door on one side (west facing) and open on the other side (east facing)?

So is this a common thing?

What’s the point of the garage door, then? Is it fenced in on the other side(s) or something?

That's where I'm leaning as well. Especially since we'd have to go down 90 to get there unless we went through BR and Lafayette.

did that thing go a little to the left or did my drugs kick in early?

Yeah, slowly inching westward. Good news for my area, but bad news for those poor souls in SE LA. But it’s still real early.

HWRF right up Cocodrie and strengthening the entire way to the coast. Still 950mb at this point:

This pace seems unsustainable!

Euro 12Z has Cat 2 at 1PM on Sunday. Approaching more east than previous run. On a similar path to what NHC track shows as of now.

My neighborhood in NOLA didn't even flood for Katrina. I'm in the sliver on the river. Hasn't flooded at all in the last 4 years with the heavy storms we've gotten either even though other areas that maybe didn't flood before have flooded. I'm on the second floor of an apartment building. I have a generator, supplies, stored water, gas, food. My house is off of St. Charles a good ways so I don't think trees would be an issue. Basically the only issue I'd have is if somehow New Orleans got totally swamped like Katrina and I got stranded. I can keep this all going for at least a week before I run out of gas most likely.

PSA to all New Orleans folks:

Go EAST to Alabama or north into MS if you're going to evacuate. Don't come west.

Hwy 90 is down to a single lane to cross the Atchafalaya River in Morgan City westbound. It takes a half hour to get through Morgan City at 5pm on a regular weekday.

Euro is going ape shite. Way stronger this run.

It got down to 939mb off the coast then randomly popped back up to 949 before making landfall.

It’s actually a California garage

I’d keep it open then based on the fact that the last storm that went through my old neighborhood (forget which one), everyone with a California garage lost their doors. Nobody with regular garages had any damage.
