I revise my earlier statement after seeing that pic. We will hear more reports like the one about the missing state trooper.

Is that 2-5 weeks after the week long assessment?

Harvey dumped 40 to 50 inches in some areas of TX. This ain't close to Harvey.

Okay, that's pretty terrifying:
And all that rotation, tornado on the ground or not went ahead and enhanced rainfall rates I'd imagine.

We aren't talking about totals. We're comparing rainfall rates.

He was comparing the rate at which the rain has fallen, not the total amounts.

Of course not, Harvey just pumped out rainfall rates similar to what we're seeing up there tonight. It is moving along, unlike Harvey.

2-5 weeks to get power back in New Orleans. Our crew only does assessment for Cox. We can repair line if trees are removed and wait for power to be back on. If the pole snapped in half, we can’t do anything until they replaced the pole, have power, then we can work on that pole.

Prepare for mass exodus out of the city.

In the city of New Orleans, Jefferson Parish or where exactly were you doing specific assessments? Thanks for sharing the info.

This seems a bit extreme given the current progress already being made.

The (sometimes) Weather Channel sent Jen Carhomosexualno to NJ, must be serious.

I just wanted to post in this thread to say I was part of it. Now, back to my regular scheduled shenanigans....

Yeah I figured it was west of the city. I think most of NOLA itself will be back up and running ahead of most of East Jefferson simply due to where Ida cut through.

bullshite. Parts of NOLA and Metairie, or every house and business, perhaps. But overwhelming majority will be up long before that.
