Yes, but that surge was still Cat 5 like. Just ask those poor frickers on the MS Gulf Coast.

That's not from the Cat 5 toward the Mouth of the Mississippi.

It's days out, not ready to panic even with the worst case scenario showing up as a possible solution.

Correct. Like I said, that model has it reaching cat 5 later in the process. Katrina was further from the coast when it got to Cat 5, but it was also closer to the Florida coast when it reached cat 1. I was speaking to the distance intervals.

For one storm in the past, it got stickied BUT ONLY CERTAIN CREDIBLE POSTERS were allowed to post in that thread.

If this forms into anything, maybe admins would consider that??? It IS nice when needed to have accurate information posted by those who know weather.

I don't think, at least I hope, that anyone here is cheering this storm on. Louisiana needs to not even get a whiff of this thing - I'm far more concerned with the rain it might bring than its strength.
