I hate that this thing has any chance of visiting our LA folks. This is not what you need right now.

Prayers that it is not a huge deal for anyone but especially the flood stricken areas of LA.

Storm2k.org is the best, free place to follow a storm. They at least have Pro-Mets that contribute.

Would be interesting to see what the HH find but don't expect a named storm or depression just yet. Certainly looks like its struggling.

Sounds like the perfect time to buy some short term call options in oil.

It's not consolidated enough to ascertain motion from a few IR frames

If it takes a southwesterly track, what ramifications are there for S Louisiana's coast?

No one is "wrong" at this point.

Here are the spaghetti models. These have it going right over the top of Puerto Rico. That gif certainly look like it's heading south of PR.

The "circulation" isn't under that blow up of storms, it is actually well north of that, albeit unorganized.

You can not follow the convection on the IR map. It is not over the center which is why this is still just a wave and not a TD or named system. The convection may move and reform all day but the wave, as a whole, is still tracking WNW.

The center of circulation and the place you see the most color on the map can be two different things. Although, I'm not sure anyone knows where the center is yet.
