Ok I get that but still a storm that will certainly be more than just a blip hitting us just 2 weeks after all of this flooding is no good. idc if its a hurricane or a TS still will do a lot of harm.

Any significant amount of rain at this point will be catastrophic and especially wind. As water logged as most trees in the area are, it won't take much to uproot. Keeping fingers crossed this thing takes a right

IF the storm develops AND hits us (and that's a huge if) you're talking about 7 more days of drainage and evaporation in the middle of 100* summer weather of the existing flood waters. I think we'll be ok.

A lot of places will still be saturated. It takes longer than you might think. Hell, I haven't been able to cut my mom's grass since it has been so wet.

So when will we actually know what this storm will be doing to start getting worried?

Half the people are on edge after the floods and the other half is looking for an excuse to get their weather porn on because the hurricane season has been dead so far.

It's not just this board. The TV meteorologists are geeking out over the possibility, too.

hurricanes are fascinating in general

And for any models showing this tracking to La is very concerning and freaking scary as hell considering everything
