Am I going to die in Cameron tomorrow?

Stout I have the Luba cutting three acres right around the house. Works great.
It was 116 under the carport for most of the day.
Now that I'm stopping... It's low 80s with a lovely breeze.

Can any of you smart weather guys take a look at Fausto and let me know if my Maui vacation from now until next Tuesday is toast?

I have over an acre and I also have my rental properties I cut. If I can let a robot cut my yard, it will be worth it.
I can understand that then. You only mentioned your house the first time. lol
I have .83 acres. I can’t say it wasn’t taxing keeping that thing cut.

How come the current radar on my weather channel app doesn't look like the big blob that is in the radar on the first page?

Page one is a satellite showing cloud top height. The area of high cloud tops is much larger than the thunderstorms themselves.

Most of the rain is not hitting Houston Chicken, which is good since I am currently here.

is there a better radar to show actual rain clouds?
Posted on 7/22/26 at 8:39 pm to Chicken
Radarscope is the best radar app but it takes some minor radar knowledge to use. You have to select the radar closest to what you want to look at. It doesn’t composite everything together like some apps do like the one you’re using.
Weather channel is probably fine for what you use it for. The data is the same. Those are just clouds on the satellite. The areas of rain on your radar app were correct.

no...and I am about faceitious about being deceived...I just that I noticed red over Houston today in the OP radar and there was nothing in the skies...
it isn't a knock on anyone...just assumed it was rain related radar and it isn't...
I am now informed...

We got some crazy wind but it was over quick. No damage but definitely a wild 10 minutes.
I also had no clue this storm was tied to Bertha. I thought it was just a thunder storm.
