If you're not on a motorbike or carrying glass, you're good.

Windfinder is my go to app for fishing and it is one of the best 24-36 hour wind speed/direction predicters I have come across. It shows a rather interesting couple of hours for this time tomorrow on the west end of Galveston. 17 MPH north winds at 1 pm to 29 MPH SSW at 4 pm,
Not sure how well the link translates here, but its a pretty call app.
1 pm Thursday Galveston winds
4 pm Thursday Galveston winds

NE winds 25 mph gusting to 39 mph at MSY. I assume the plane landed south to north into the wind but there would have been some crosswind from NE to SW.

Just had a nice gust at my office in Metairie. The Causeway will be fun getting home on today.
Currently at 30k feet coming into NOLA within the hour. Can't wait to land in the big fat breezes of Bertha.

Prepare thy anus. You might see a grocery bag blowing in the wind

Finished mowing the yard as it started raining. Seemed like it was gonna be a good soaker so went ahead and got a shower. Get out the shower and the sun is out. No weedeating and I’m already clean. Guess I’ll try again tomorrow for the rest.

Dude, I was using a push mower up until a few weeks ago when I finally bit the bullet and bought a riding lawnmower - and I’m 63.
Good for you
I have over an acre and I also have my rental properties I cut. If I can let a robot cut my yard, it will be worth it.

Must be in the "eye" right now. Winds have died down a ton.

The cloud deck is finally over me now. The sky is dark and every once in a while the wind will pick up to about 25mph. It actually looks like there's something out there for the first time today. Still not a single drop of rain though

I think the 'center' turned to the SW before getting all the way to NOLA. It appears to have moved over Southern Jefferson, South/Central Lafourche, and now is heading into South Terrebonne.
I don't know what part of the 'center' passed over me, but some part of it did here in Cut Off around 6 PM.
The sun broke out and the sky was blue but only for about 2 or 3 minutes. The low clouds were moving quickly and in somewhat of a circle while the entire cloud arc/circle was moving to the WSW.

At this point the NHC has to be in cahoots with insurance companies.
