This is a worst case scenario storm surge map by category created in 2014. I'm still debating what to do as far as leaving but leaning towards staying.

Rummy I got laughed out of the OT when I made the suggestion for a thread where only SOME could post ie those who know shite about weather during the flood.

I think it's a great idea.

So is the consensus that Miami beach is fricked? I'm still on this cruise in St Maarten today but tom we head back supposed to land in ft Lauderdale sat morning get our car and drive back to Miami. Im assuming that won't be happening? Or are we dodging a bullet? Frick it's a vacation home we have no food or water at the place when we get back I guess I'm gonna have to hoard the cruise boat water and snacks

This slow down is going to make it even harder to play the game on Saturday. They really have no choice but to move it, either back a day or different location.

To not move the game at this point is purely irresponsible. They need to make the announcement by 9 am so that people can make their arrangements. It sucks for UF but it's the right thing to do for all involved.

For the Charleston SC and lowcountry folks...on my way downtown this morning, the traffic leaving town was already backing up and slow at the Summerville exit. Good luck and stay safe to everyone involved.

Now that is going too far.

This thread is used for others giving others local information and support and info on the upcoming game.

This is not the weather channel.

You'll be taking up residence in St.Maarten for a while.
There are worse places.
No way any cruise ship will travel through the Bahamas in the next few days.

The only thing I could see possible if the ships come in behind and from the south and dock wherever they can.

Thankfully not. Only so much I can take of Long Island, NY weather forecasts.

We're on this oasis of the seas this thing is gigantic it's gotta be one of the biggest cruise boats around haha everywhere we've gone it dwarfs everything else I'd almost like to see this bad boy thrust into action in a hurricane see what it's made of. Jk but is it usually somewhat calm behind the hurricane bc I really don't see how we're back in ft Lauderdale sat morning but the captain says we're staying on course

At this point no one knows. Id at least have something to secure windows(tape, wood, screws) on hand. We just went to the store and picked up batteries and ice. Better safe than sorry!

You own your home? Did you decide if you are going to evac? We're still waiting and seeing.
