Agreed. That area hasn't been hit in my lifetime. It's totally over developed in a lot of low areas.

I'm going to check tides right now.

I'm all good in Louisiana. Just thinking about the people that will be evacuating and what they may need to consider.

Million dollar homes all along the coast they will all be in the ocean even without a direct hit. The storm surge along will do this. Billions in real estate lost

You may want to follow them out. This thing looks like no joke.

South Carolina just shut down campus/classes through Friday. The football game will probably be cancelled too. I wouldn't be surprised if schools across Florida started taking similar actions soon

It's unreal how expensive those beachfront homes cost. Amazingly, most are made of wood.

Steve Spurrier has a home there.

For the love of God why has Florida not mandatory evacuated low lying areas on the east side?? If USC had already cancelled classed through Friday with today being TUESDAY shouldn't Florida be doing SOMETHING??

Hoping people play it safe and take heed.

I just talked to my dad asking if I needed to head there tonight to help board up. He's convinced it's nothing to worry about, and he's just gonna head this way Friday morning like he was already planning. He pulled this same shite for Katrina.

I still have work tomorrow at the Charleston VA with patients scheduled. As of 5:30 VA hadn't announced any closing plans before Saturday. Being the government, they'll probably come to a decision on Monday.

I have clinic at MUSC tomorrow as well. We haven't announced plans officially but the thought is closing Thursday and Friday with potential to stay open Thursday until noon. Our patients are going nuts right now and rightfully so. Daily cancer tx and some people are staying here hours from home in temporary lodging. No bueno.

And parents call their kids stubborn. If you're not too far just GO and make him prep.

And God bless him for going through Katrina and now possibly this crap.
