Thursday next week I mean. It looks like the loop back might be headed right for us on Thursday morning.

Oh got it. They won't give us much good Intel on the loop around here yet. I'm in south Florida and our local meteorologists have been on 24/7

Track stays pretty much the same. Slightly increased speed to 12 mph

Looks like rain but not a proper storm anymore. From what I'm reading elsewhere, the Gulf won't be conductive to storms next week so it shouldn't intensify when it crosses back into the Gulf.
But I'm not a meteorologist so keep checking forecasts.

Definitely. We were in the eastern eyewall of that one.

Jim Cantore live from Melbourne Beach
Posted on 10/6/16 at 5:01 am to Paul Allen
Weather in Jax Beach has been shite the past two days and today has started off the same, been hindering boarding up and getting everyone prepared
Someone mentioned locally we got hit with a storm before the storm, can anyone confirm?
Already have lots of water in the streets

Then it sounds like we should expect an upgrade to cat 4 very soon. I have a feeling that pressure will continue to drop and potentially get this thing close to a cat 5 before it scrapes Florida.

LSUwag this is not good for you! thos oaks have a better chance of falling on your house then saving it especially with the early rain we are getting before matthew even gets here. good luck!

Is Cantore like the anti Peej?

I still don't understand the thoughts behind the Florida game
As long as my house is not destroyed we are going to go, but that's pushing it with a noon start

Can we get a roll call of the Jacksonville folks? Still planning on staying or going? My plan probably hinges on how much of a parking lot i10 is around 2 pm today

Cantore is in Melbourne Beach. Expects the eye to hit them first on the coast. Says they will likely be stranded for a few days with the bridge being underwater and the power will be out there for a few days.

Prayers sent to all you guys in the path of this thing. The latest sat loops look like Matty definitely has his shite together this morning.
Stay safe baws!

Packed and almost ready to leave.
Deciding after the 11am update.
Looks like we are leaving as of right now. Targeting a 1pm departure.

This guy has no concern for his own safety.

I evacuated from boynton to Weston yesterday. Doubt I'll be making the game. Our place is on the intracoastal and I'm not sure what we'll be going back to tomorrow.
