Weather experts... rumel and company. In your opinion, is UF admin dumb af for prolonging the move or cancel of this game? Or are people over reacting on the rant?

I can't get the link to do anything?? I click on an area, and it does nothing.... We are looking at LINK Right? Damn, the link just updated my area to Red. What's that mean?

Red is a Hurricane Warning.

Yep they absolutely fricked this up this whole Atlantic side and further inland is fricked. Nobody gives a shite about going to the swamp at this time. Should have moved it today to salvage something

I'm the first block west of A1A. There's a pretty good distance between me and the beach. There is a very well established row of sand dunes and an entire block of million dollar houses before it crosses to my side of the street. Maybe, that's enough space and rise to save my arse. I also have some big arse oak trees which are very close to me.

Hell, I might have a pile of rubble after this is over with. Mrs. Wag and I were planning on retiring there in a few more years.

Maybe I'l cash out and move to Wyoming.

There are a lot of factors that go into that. The worst of the actual weather will have passed Gainesville come game time. However, there are a lot of factors that can't be answered as of now. Is there power? How extensive is the damage in the area? How swamped is law enforcement and will their response to the storm prevent them from being able to handle the game? Those are questions that no one can really answer until the storm gets close.

This thing is going to wreck countless cities and coastal towns it's path along the entire coast of Florida is unheard of. I have seen then go into a specific area but to just parallel the coast for so long. frick ME

You should note that's a satellite estimate and not from recon in the storm.

This is going to be a crazy storm surge situation - if it stays off the coast, the coastline will see generally higher water but the strongest wins will essentially be north winds that push water parallel to the coast. However, if it strays inland you obviously have the northeast quadrant storm surge issues. Obviously we want the former to be the case, but it is something to monitor.

why the frick risk it?? I'm far from an expert but this seems incredibly irresponsible of the UF admins.

This model is predicting widespread power outages but they might be able to use a generator to power that stadium...

The thing that is rather unusual about this storm is the way it is going to roll up the coast and stay close to it. Usually hurricanes go directly into an area, and therefore impact a narrower area, but with Matthew it isn't moving directly in but rather scraping right along the coast.

We are shutting down for 36 hours starting tomorrow at 6 am. This is just making me sick now the way this thing is looking and it's projected path.
