See: Wyatt Earp Effect. If you took every event happening in the world and mapped against Covid-19 spread, something would form a correlation (despite not having any causal impact - aka a coincidence).
Similarly, now that there are millions of positive Covid-19 cases in the US, anecdotal stories become utterly useless. Statistically very, very, very rare outcomes are practically guaranteed to happen somewhere to somebody.

They've been trying this for years with the little ties on bread packaging. Too many people caught on and would just throw them out and tie up the plastic without it. So now they are trying to get it closer to your brain to give you those symptoms more efficiently.
