You can claim both on your taxes.

My parents received their stimulus check today. The IRS website said their check was scheduled to be mailed out on the 6th of January also. I'm guessing everyone who still hasn't received their stimulus check should be getting one soon.

That doesn’t happen. They give them debit type cards now.

Exactly - plus the income guidelines for WIC are higher than food stamps - meaning more ppl qualify for WIC

I imagine a lot of self-employed people aren't set up for DD with the IRS. All my compensation from my firm (technically passthrough via my individual LLC) for the last 25 years has been reported via 1099. I pay income tax with quarterly payments and any overage at the end of the year gets rolled over to the next year's taxes so I don't have any sort of DD set up with the IRS since I never get money from them.

When we got the Bush rebate in 2001 it came via check but I seem to remember everyone's came as a check then. There was no income limits for those but instead, you had to have taxable income of I think $12k for a married couple, I think my wife and I got a $600 check IIRC.

Me either.

My Fed quarterly estimates that I just paid in January were nice coincidental timing.
