I think Steph Curry is trolling.

As for as "looking up to" famous people or they being a role model, I think Charles Barkley said it best.

put it this way. we made it to the moon in '69 but can't make it to mars by '18? the technological advances of the '60s were no powerful than a modern day calculator. and not just any calculator. the type you can get from the dollar tree.

We can go to the moon and come back in a week, Mars is a minimum 2 year journey, the life support and fuel requirements for the two missions are not remotely comparable.

So we did not have the technology to fake going to the moon while having the technology to go and return from the moon.

Hmmm..that makes sense.

Yeah.
Let's see...

We already had:
-math
-rockets
-knowledge of what keeps people alive and how to engineer for said things(oxygen, thermoregulation, etc.)
-basic electrical systems.

What else am I missing that would have been necessary to get people to and return from the moon?

Again, I'm not familiar with what filming techniques weren't around back then, but I suspect it has to do with lighting and more importantly faking low gravity.

Put it this way. If it was a conspiracy and a faked landing on the moon, then NASA pulled off the near impossible magic trick that is still going on today.

And not a single soul ever slipped up and let the world know. Not one person among thousands who were involved.

Impressive!

What are your explanations for the questions I posed?

You didn’t pose any of them. They have been brought up and addressed ad nauseam.

And, the Soviets have not joined in this at all. In fact, they have commissioned people to question the supposed landing very recently.

The Soviets and other countries were tracking Apollo by radar and communication telemetry.

They had an entire division devoted to intercepting NASA space transmissions. They didn’t say anything.

Therefore, to claim conspiracy you have to assume they were in on it.

As well as all of the non-NASA space agencies which have documented evidence of the landings both at the time and now.

You're the only one making leaps. All my points were logical and had evidence to back them up. I notice you stopped arguing with me, which is fine, but also what happens every time I have this argument. People who are addicted to conspiracy don't care to look at clear facts, they prefer to stay in the shade.

Neil said something very telling to a bunch of youngsters...

In a clearance system, it works as well...
It was 40 years before Groom lake was exposed to the public...
30 years before the Gulf of Tonkin was revealed to be made up...
MKULTRA was sci-fi before thousands of documents were unveiled...

Uncle sugar has a track record of lying, denying and covering up...eventually most things come to light

1. How in the hell could everybody involved keep this thing such a secret. And by everybody, I mean thousands of NASA, Smithsonian, museum, and science workers out there. That is, in addition to the actual astronauts themselves. Not one person would spill the beans in a drunken rant of "you gotta listen to this shite". Unlikely. Nobody can keep a secret like that

To add to the idea that keeping it a secret would be impossible, there were a number of people that independently monitored astronaut communications from the moon with their own receiving equipment, and a number of amateur astronomers photographed the Apollo spacecraft in transit to the moon. NASA had no knowledge this was happening.

I genuinely believe we landed on the moon. I also believe there was only one lone gunman in the Kennedy assaination. It’s just fun to debate a bit, even as a counterpoint person. Not that many of the responses were compelling today, but I already knew the answers to questions posed. Of course we did. No rational person thinks we did not land on the moon. No rational person thinks the earth is flat. No rational person thinks Elvis is still alive.

Absolutely I'd look to him for basketball advice. Maybe also for self-marketing skills, famous people got that way by being really good at that. People who are famous for 15 minutes generally are not. But not for anything else.

This explains why it's so easy to fool voters. Some of them are really smart, but hardly any of them know a damn thing about government or policy. That's true no matter what party you support, most of us are quite ignorant about such things and political campaigns play on that all the time.

I’m with steph. People are easy to deceive. We never went to the moon.
I take it you are not familiar with the Lunar Laser Ranging experiment.

Let me tell you about it.

Astronauts basically placed a large reflector on the moon during Apollo 11 in 1969. They did the same thing for Apollo 14 and 15.

Lasers on Earth are aimed at the reflector on the moon and reflected back to Earth. The time it takes for the beam to be reflected back is used to calculate the distance away the moon is from the Earth.

And it's not just us here in the USA that do this. The Soviets used their own laser aimed at the reflector the astronauts put on the moon. They have done it, so they know we really have been to the moon.

And it's done with lasers in observatories all over the world.

Here is China using their laser ranger to reflect the beam off the retroflector the USA astronauts placed on the moon:

Here is a picture of it:

Here is Buzz Aldrin in front it it:
