Stay At Home Moms vs. Stay At Home Dads

"Worry Load" Moms Place on themselves
I love the fairer sex but they really do try to make it harder & harder as time goes by. They put themselves in these positions of Stay At Home life then beg for sympathy & understanding.
You never hear Stay At Home Dads with this type of hypocritical drivel.

Only way I'll get married is if I get to be a stay at home dad.

A good housewife is a godsend and lord knows it’s a full job of its own with kids, but let’s not pretend it’s as hard as some of them make it out to be.

The problem is women like my sister who is stay at home even though she was making more than my brother in law. Now he comes home and she bitch’s at him if he doesn’t help her cook or clean up. If your job is at home then you damn sure do it well. Place better be spotless and food better be good and don’t ask me to do shite at the house.

Honestly I couldn’t imagine being a stay at home dad. Im way too antsy as it is, it’d drive me fricking nuts being at home all day. I’d feel worthless.

I don’t think they all act like it’s the toughest job in the world. However, it can absolutely cause a person to lose their identity. I completely understand how it could wear a person down/out and frustrate them to the point of resentment. Especially that first year and a half.
Now, once they get to school age it gets exponentially easier because you get a break. Stay at home parents with kids over 5 should probably stfu.

If you stay at home while the other spouse works, cooking, cleaning and laundry is part of the job description regardless of your sex. If you are of a certain income bracket, you at least need to coordinate the people who will do it for you (housekeepers, food delivery, etc).
Bitching about these things is not healthy or acceptable. If you hate it enough to complain about it go get a job and send the kids to daycare.

I stopped reading the article when she titled herself CEO of the household, I hate that shite.
I give stay at home moms and dads a lot of credit. What they do isn't easy. I love my child to death, but there is no way I'd want to stay home all day every day with him.
I will say, I only know one stay at home mom, I've never heard her complain. Don't know any stay at home dads.

Wife and I both primarily work from home, so we are what I would call stay at home parents but with full time jobs. Seeing more and more of this trend, and for us it’s great. Very rarely are we not able to at least have one parent home for kids & if it occurs my wife parents live in a different part of our community to help.
Best part, afternoon secks before kiddos get home from school.

Woman’s place is in the kitchen and breeding children.

My wife has been hinting at how much she would enjoy quitting work and staying at home even though her daughter (my step daughter) is 13. I would probably resent her to the point of divorce.

Help with the housework? How about you help with the plant operating?

Reading the article though, it doesn’t sound like the complaint is about house chores. This particular story is talking about the everyday shite that can pile up on a person. Moms and dads worry about different shite because that’s our make up. Mom's tend to stress out more over little things the kids are doing developmentally, They worry about things that are in the now. Whereas dads worry more about big picture stuff. Kid has a bump on his head and dad laughs and says he’ll be ok. Mom thinks it’s a growth and wants it scanned. It’s just how it is.

You'll always have insecure people craving validation. It's only worse since the advent of the internet.. now they have a much larger megaphone to shout about how hard what they do is.

True but let's not pretend it is not a job either. Just like a job with a paycheck it comes with its own frustrations and is exhausting.
As a stay at home parent, I don't agree it is the hardest job in the world or valued at equivalent of a $200k salary, but it is shocking how people marginalized your efforts and contributions to your face. You are told you're lazy, don't do anything, should do more, should do it all 24/7 without a break because you do not do anything. When it is someone who has never done it, I've learned to just smile and shut up, only those who have done it "get it".

I would pwn being a stay at home dad.
The wife would have to do nothing...
But, actually, if you think about it...a stay at home dad is a farmer, and he can run a farm while doing all the other house stuff.
