100%.
Raised my kids, taught them how to read, took them to play grounds, did all the yard work, played golf, went to kids sports stuff/activities, laundry, basic cleaning, cooking.
Totally lazy.

I know a stay at home dad. The mom is cool with it, but he supports the family's day to day living a lot less then her. He does own the house though and either one of them can split up and be fine. It looks strange to some on the outside, but either one of them can walk away and be fine. That's the only way that situation can work IMO. A man can't rely on a woman for support.

I agree.
But her job pays far more than mine + the cost of daycare for 2 toddlers & after care for the older one. That $2200/month expense wasn't worth me working 45+ hrs/week & hardly seeing the kids.
I'm back working now that they're all in grade school & we got a HS girl that is at the house til we get home.

I’ve been a stay at home dad since my son was born but I’m also supporting my family with the money I made in the 10 years since I graduated.

It’s been awesome
