He started as a deputy with Lafourche. Prior to that he played football for UL. Unless there's another trooper with the same name. He may have grown up in Labadieville IDK.

No. That #64 graduated in 2014. The Justin I'm thinking it is would have graduated around 2000 give or take a couple of years.

He may exaggerate it a bit, but the accent isn't fake.
Every relative I have from Thibodaux on down shares his "normal" speaking accent.

I remember the thread on this when it happened

Justin is from Lafourche/Terrebone. His accent ain't fake - just embellished.
I remember years ago he got an award for something while working in Troop L. It just goes to show, people are capable of good and bad.
Unfortunately this boat thing is an integrity violation and he should be separated from LSP for it. Imagine, every time he is put on a witness stand, he will be asked about the boat accident, failing to render aid to the injured, not calling it it to protect his friend, and running away from the scene to basically obstruct. He'll get torn apart by defense counsel on any case he's involved with over his integrity problem until the day he leaves law enforcement...and rightfully so.
Yep. This is what you were referring to. What a shame...A definite lapse in judgement, at the very least.

He went to E.D. White and played baseball at Nicholls and SWMCC.

Are people in here white knighting for this dude because he is a social media star?

Imagine white knighting a corrupt LEO from an organization whose corruption has been exposed at all levels in recent years.

I love the dude and his videos but he’s kind of embarrassing for the troopers. If he pulled me over and tried to talk in a serious voice I think I would laugh in his face.

It's pretty amazing. The most common excuse is that if it was your friend, you'd do it too. Nevermind the oath he took, his obligation to assist the injured, etc.
Nah, he'd rather drive the getaway car (allegedly). Dood has ZERO integrity.

Question, if it happened like it is being reported (he was an accomplice in a hit and run DUI), he has to be fired or at least demoted to a non sworn job?
I haven't seen his age/years of service listed, but in MS, I think a HP trooper only needs 20 years to retire.

Non-sworn job???? Like what? Handling cash? Doing background checks on applicants? Quartermaster? Casino applications? Nope - no integrity deserves no job w/ LSP. We'll see what happens.
