In other words, ELECTIVE procedures.

If you can't understand the practicality in this, you're beyond saving from COVID.

I mean really, how fricking stupid are you? It's people like you spreading intentionally misleading information that are making this whole situation worse than it should be.

Covid preys on the elderly. I guarantee you if they posted how many 80+ year olds died from the flu it would be six times more than covid.

Wrong. They suspended *elective* surgeries.

If you don't understand why, you cannot be helped.

No, the original notice was directed to Elective Procedures. This revision, if you read the only paragraph (1), doesn't even contain the work "elective" in the revision text.

Instead, after the revision it now reads "any and all medical and surgical procedures" that can safely be postponed for 30 days. This is, clearly, broader than just elective.

An EMG or a nerve conduction study for example isn't elective, but fits this restriction in virtually all cases.

So, eat a dick.

That's not technically correct. They've postponed anything that the Dr decides can wait 30 days. That doesn't cover just elective procedures. Could apply to a surgery that isn't emergent but will still need to happen eventually.

Mrs. TLC is a urology resident and dealing with this right now. Some of the Docs are being very conservative and cancelling almost everything while some still want to make $$$ and are proceeding more or less as normal but just saying the cases are medically necessary.

"elective procedures" does not equal "most" you moron. I would assume most surgeons and/or doctors had already cancelled elective procedures before today.

yeah i was going to point this out but you beat me

basically all non-emergent procedures are done

read the memo , that is not what it says...."anything that can be safely postponed for 30 days SHALL be postponed", that is painting with a very wide brush

How does this apply to a freestanding, licensed, surgical center?
