and I'm now starting to have regrets of leaving my old job because I thought the grass would've been greener with the new employer.
Anyone ever left a job and started having regrets and thought it was probably the wrong move?

Wait 6 months and go back to your old job with your new pay.

What do you not like about it?

I worked with s guy that went to 2 interviews and we had a going away party. 2 weeks later he was back.

No, I don’t regret leaving my old job but I’m almost 9 months in a new role that has been very challenging. Right as I begin to get comfortable with a certain skill, they add more to my plate. It’s a compliment and I knew it going in, but it still overwhelms me at times. I live the organization though and am still 100% that it was the correct move, but being insecure is uncomfortable.

The greener the grass, the more upkeep you need to do. I’ll stick with the average grass.

I changed jobs during COVID and nearly quit the new one last year. New company made changes though and it's 100x better than original company

Grow weeds, profit.

The greenest grass grows just above the septic tank.

Three years ago I left a company while holding good paying job that I rapidly continued to grow and get promoted. I knew every policy and how all systems and process moved I left because the private company sold majority shares to an investment company. Atmosphere changed within a couple of months and pre transition opportunities went away.
The new company I started with offered more money, better benefits and some great perks but after 1 month, I started to question my decision. Hung in there for 6 months hoping it would get better but it only got worse. I start applying for jobs and found another one a couple of months later.
Even though the job I have now if great, I still wonder how far up I would of moved within the first company.

Sounds like the time I failed the drug test at the new place and had to crawl back to the old one. Don't remember a party but if there was I must have been wasted.

I’m starting a new job Monday. Same field, same software/system, upward move with a nice salary increase.
I’m extremely weary and hoping I didn’t make a mistake.

Can't you just walk back across the street to Burger King?

No. I wait until I absolutely hate my job before looking for a new job.

If you do decide to quit, no two week notice.

Honestly no, I’ve left 4 jobs and never had a bit of regret. Sorry I know this probably isn’t any help
