You know what will happen next? Certain people will sense the weakness and test these policies in order to secure a payday. Starbucks in certain areas will fill with loiterers of a certain ilk being increasingly bothersome in order to provoke a reaction and be the next winner of the dindu nuffin lottery.
In response decent people will avoid Starbucks, since they will be full of undesirables whom the employees will be forbidden to interact with negatively in any way.
Stocks go down. Quality goes down. Quality workers leave because of lack of decent clientele. Starbucks becomes the Walmart of coffee houses.
I’d short all Starbucks stock now and invest in chains that have some balls and don’t kowtow to thugs.
