I don't think "stab self" is a step in any accepted first aid protocol.

It's really weird.
Got one right inside my nose- extra pain and stretched out skin.

Got one of my chest-irritating but not really painful.
Got one on my face but also not painful except for the stretched skin. Left no scar.

Had 2 on my ballsack. The pocket wasn't painful except for the stretched out scrotum skin.

Get a shot to jump start when you get these.

I know a guy that had a sore on one of his arse cheeks. It was dry and his wife made him to go ER. They operated on him right in the ER.

They need to culture it to find out what strain it is. If they are just throwing antibiotics at it with knowing which strain it is you are going to be in a world of hurt!! I have been dealing with these for years. I have one under my armpit now. Usually if I clean with alcohol and put a bandaid with bactrum on it. It will be gone in a few days. I was fishing in grand isle years back I had one on my forearm, pubic area and below my knee. We fished 2 days and I threw in the towel. Spent the next week eating pain pills laying on the floor ( the one on my pubic area had got so bad it split open and could see the fat under it) still have a scar from that. None of mine had fluid in them.

Don’t frick around with staph. Never allergic to poison ivy my entire life...for some reason last year I got a bad rash that ended up with giant pus filled lesions on my leg. Ignored it for about a week thinking it’d go away. Leg started turning a blackish purple so I went to urgent care thinking they’d give me some antibiotics, instead they sent me straight to the ER as soon as they saw it. ER cut out a big staph infection that had started turning into blood poisoning. Gave me multiple different shots and IV antibiotics overnight.

So you normally stick a knife in your elbow every time you bump it?

Staph is not something you give a “wait and see approach”. I spent three years dealing with recurrent infections in my nose, face, nipple, and under both arms. So painful and stressful. It’s very dangerous. Get it cleared up with clindamycen.

Sticking a knife into an infected area was probably not the wisest decision. Had staph on top of my ankle years ago and it was terrible. If it’s around a joint, it’s very painful. Better get that shite cleared up before it makes its way into your bloodstream or bones.

My younger brother struggled with MRSA for a couple of years. I wouldn't wish that shite on anybody.

Good luck and stop sticking any objects into it.

Did you at least put a blowtorch to the blade first?

Have the doc prescribe you some cleocin (clindamycin). Doxi is vibramycin. weak arse sit.

You'll be shitting water for a weak, but you may save your arm.
