Stagh infection= a whole world of pain

Have a staph infection on my elbow. Got put on bactrim early last week and it continued to grow. I didnt give it much thought until I was turning a wrench today. The bolt broke and my elbow hit my four wheeler frame. It hurt so bad I almost fainted. I stuck a knife in it and nothing really came out. Went to urgent care and they swapped me to doxycycline. This is probably the most (enduring) pain I've ever been in. I'm thinking amputation would be acceptable at this point.
Just a heads up, if you think you have a staph dont be an idiot like me. Go to the doc asap.

Staph infections have nearly the same fatality rate as coronavirus. You should ask for prayers on Facebook.

If new antibiotic doesn't clear it up, make sure you go back. Probably need a culture to find correct antibiotic. Maybe MRSA.

You sure it’s not a spider bite? Bactrim should clear up a staph infection. You may need to have it lanced if it doesn’t show improvement overnight.

I'm not kidding. I would be more worried about a staph infection getting into my bloodstream than wearing a mask to prevent coronavirus if I were you.

Frick doxycycline, that shite is weaker then bactrim. Maybe ask for clindamycin.

My daughter has a boil on her ear lobe. She got put on amox clav or something shite. Came to a head like 2 days ago. Been oozing puss since.
