I to believe this board is FOR banning books?
I think its not for banning books. I don't know, it honestly seems like a bunch of bullshite. It should be up to the parents to police what their kids read.

We used to call them “comic books.” The “graphic” simply means that the story is told with panel pictures. It does not mean loaded with sexual content.
Awe look, this groomer is a smartass.

Now comes the insult that anyone that doesn't support fricking kids, or having kids exposed to literature that grooms them, then they are obviously morons.
Your Progressive Left, ladies and gentlemen!

My family is frequent visitors to St Tammany Parish Libraries. The left lean is real. Walked in a couple weeks back to see all of the suggested books, which are located on a rack greeting everyone who enters, were all left-progressive in topic. Two were Trump bashing books. A few were promoting LGBTQ. And the rest were about slaves and civil rights. I grab a few and hide them amongst other parts of the library while my kids pick out their favorite Lego and Dog-Man books.

Looks like we found one of the attendees. Who made the signs?

Guess your kids don’t go to school?
Do you hate people that don’t let your kids buy dirty magazines from behind the counter or do you hate the bouncer checking ids at strip clubs?
Sorry fella, you have chosen a side and just don’t know it.
Yes my kids go to private school. I don't entrust the government with their education. If I don't like what is being taught, I can send them to a different school.
Also, I don't expect the "people behind the counter" or the bouncer checking Ids to act as a safety net for my shitty parenting.

Bunch OT’ers who don’t live in St Tammany accusing protestors of not living in St Tammany
Can’t make this shite up.

People should decide what they read and do not read, not religion, politicos or Dads taking it upon themselves to hide books from people.
Yikes

Interesting. Would not have thought that was the vibe there.
If you look at percentages its not hard to believe. St Tammany has a population of 264,570. If only 1% of those people are rabid lunatics that's still over 2500 people. And if only 10% of that 1% shows up to something, that's over 250 people.
This is something I think we are seriously overlooking in society right now. We are too focused on the small. The perfect embodiment of missing the forest for the trees.
We keep seeing this narrative pushed that because a bunch of people showed up for a cause that cause must be important or worth considering. That's just not the case.
If we took a national pole and asked if something insane like eating toenails should be required by law I guarantee you that you could get a million people to say yes. And then you could run news stories for weeks about how this bill has the support of millions of people and social media would be filled with comments supporting it and it sounds like alot and can easily be fooled into believing its a majority opinion because of all the support.
But this country has a population of 330,000,000 people. So 1,500,000 people is half of 1%.

We go to the Old Mandeville branch a bunch. They definitely seem to be the most liberal of the west St. Tammany branches if judged by their books on display. There are always lgbtq themed books on display in the children’s section. Plus there are always old weirdos (probably TBoy) hanging out using the computers so we watch our kids closely there
The Madisonville branch doesn’t seem to play that shite

This library situation is a manufactured crisis by a few homophobic people. No one knew these books existed until one woman walked into a library, searched all of the books containing LGBT content, took pictures and posted them on social media. No kids had access to the books.
Children have quicker access to far more explicit materials on their parents cell phones and internet.
Solution: watch what your kids are reading.
I know of no books in history that have jumped off of a library shelf, hit a kid and turned them gay.

Plus, these people find what look like useless groups and positions that they can use to get more influence than they should have.
Who is on the St. Tammany Parish Library Control Board?

LOL at the morons arguing that protecting books is more important than protecting children.

Looks like the groomers bussed in people, gave them one of two signs, and had them take up room in the meeting so that other citizens couldn't get in the room.
That is exactly what is happening here because I can assure you support for this in that area is slim. Expect that dude that lives in the shotgun house that is between the hardware store and the grocery store in Madisonville that fly’s a rainbow flag on her house.

And again, the classic Progressive reply: "If you don't want your kids groomed by us, that means you hate gays".
So, groomer, only gays are pedos? LOLOLOLOL
