Why do the feds care so much about the other side of the investigation? Obviously they're investigating civil rights violations, but why do they need an autopsy as well? He's been cut open once, he will be cut open again by the doctor the family hired, now he will be cut open a third time by the govt. For a family that's so outraged why would they mutilate his body even more?

Pardon the crudeness of my response, but he isn't getting anymore dead. And the more people that look, the more chances for alternate conclusions, particularly one that benefits the family/is to the detriment of the officer, to be drawn.

There are a few facts they care about: white cop shot unarmed black teenager. For them (and many others), that's enough.

If so I thought Johnson was the man to fix all of this and not employ such heavy handed tactics.
