I think it varies with location, honestly. But yes, I would say more than 50% of the black community are good people who tend to do the right thing. Stereotypes often seem more prominent than they are.

The sad thing is as much as I want that to happen, I don't think it will. You are seeing why right now on CNN. I don't live in a Ferguson type area I live in a Watt's type area and as much as I want things to change after 4 years of living here and working with inner city black kids I don't think it ever will. The best way to bring about change is investment in black kids to change their mentality. 70% of under 18 kids in memphis have no dad, and live in poverty. Thats going to take a lot of role models to step in and fill a huge void.
