In an interview with msnbc shortly after the report was released, Johnson’s lawyer confirmed that Brown had taken cigars from the store.
“We see that there’s tape, that they claim they got a tape that shows there was some sort of strong-armed robbery,” said Freeman Bosley, Johnson’s attorney. “We need to see that tape, my client did tell us and told the FBI that they went into the store. He told FBI that he did take cigarillos, he told that to the DOJ and the St. Louis County Police.”

808, the reason they didn't release information is pretty simple. They wanted to lock down the witness statements first, particularly Johnson's. I'd be curious to know if Bosley knew about this beforehand.
I would have liked for the information to have come out earlier to avoid everything that has gone on the last week, but the reason for withholding is pretty simple.

They're pissed that Ferguson didn't say as much in their release. I'd be pissed too. The manner in which Ferguson PD released the info isn't a whole lot different than what Anonymous did as far as creating a potentially dangerous situation for an innocent person. Look how people here jumped to the wrong conclusion so fast.

not getting into it again... but I do want to point out that per that stat, only 25% of police killings are white on black (96 of 400).... Clearly the minority issue :P

Yep. The outrage that a cop would tell some innocent unarmed kids to "get the frick out of the street" sparked all of this. Funny thing is many were quick to believe the officer confronted him with that tone. He still may have but highly doubtful.

I again, just posted info that is on USA today.
I am just the messenger. read the info as it backs up the numbers that people were saying was a lie yesterday. The only reason I posted it. I already learned that arguing with a wall makes more sense than debating with you. So that's all I got to say about that.
