Ghetto based on what? It’s A rated score, or it’s demographic breakdown? Prejudiced comment.

Yea he's a tard. It's not a Top school in LA but it's ranked #66 or so. That's NOT bad at all.

If your sister knows the kids are doing blow then she's definitely blowing them. She will be on the news soon

One year later I’m stumbling across this thread and I am curious if things have changed any?

I went here...and I sent all 3 of my kids to Dutchtown. None of my catholic alum sent their kids there. That should tell you all you need to know.
This translates to I’m too cheap to send my kids there

St. Amant has the better band, so there's that

Never trust the opinion of a teacher. The vast majority are on some form of medication to treat mental issues.

It will continue to be the correct answer until Prairieville high school is built. It will be interesting to see what school will be #1 then

The location of it needs to be reconsidered though.

I had no clue so many St Amant peeps were on here. I have 2 recent STA grads and both are doing well. I felt like the school was great for one and ok for the other just because of their personalities. I do appreciate the “rural” / land opportunities more than being crammed in a subdivision like much of Dutchtown’s district.

Sounds like a good chunk of south LA.

A lot of STA and Dtown parents and Alum are playing down EA. All 3 of my kids have been through or, are still there. They have taken honors and AP courses. The oldest graduated with a 3.8 and the other 2 are firmly above 4.0.
None of them have been assaulted, forced to do drugs, or get into fights. Same BS goes on at EA as well as Dtown and STA.
If your kids are smart, they can avoid the riff raff at any of the 3 schools.
I don't know if Dtown has changed, but they weren't on a block schedule like EA and STA and I know that stressed a number of kids trying to take advanced classes.
Don't know if it's still like this, but I was told each school had a sort of theme. Dutchtown was leaning towards having a culinary theme, STA towards agriculture/ science, EA technology. I know EA has a BASF sponsored technology department that has a robotics lab, as well as the APSB computer reimaging and tech support runs through there.

It's a done deal. I'm assuming they will take Pville middle and Galvez middle. We'll see if any others, or how redistricting changes the HS boundaries.
