Definitely St. Amant baw. More small town oriented and the town is very unique. Dutchtown is basically an extension of Baton Rouge, lots of money and nice houses. St. Amant will be the next sports powerhouse in the Baton Rouge area too

Dutchtown is better at HS soccer this year, but St. Amant will likely be better next year and for 3-4 years, if that matters to you.

Not a town. Not even a village. Both of those would require some form of legit government / a plan. It’s more like an “area”.

Finally to say it is the next BR area athletic powerhouse is laughable. They will continue to lack the types of athletes it truly takes to win in 5A football and basketball.

Dutchtown girls are very loose. If you have a son, send him there.

I do fundraisers on a regular basis at both schools (15 years running). I’m at both schools weekly. Some of these comments blow me away. Some crack me up. Most are way off.

Funny because St. Amant has been better than Dutchtown in soccer for the past 5-6 years

Everyone is forgetting that a lot of St Amant flooded. We moved to Dutchtown over 6 years ago from Vicksburg, MS. No regrets sending my kids to DTPS and hope the schools in this area stay academically stable. I commute to LSU for work and have an easy drive through St Gabriel.
