If you were taking a job in the Gonzales area, which school district would be best for your kids? Thanks

Dutchtown girls are very loose. If you have a son, send him there.

Like picking Southern Miss or Tulane in the Bowl game, Doesn't matter they both suck

Wait for the new Prairieville HS.
Seriously though, Dutchtown, unless you have an affinity for country boys that think they're gangstas

Be aware they are building a new HS. If your kids are younger than 6th grade it is likely the HS district lines will change before they reach HS age.

You win with either but St Amant would be my pick right now.
That endorsement is not implying that there is a problem at Dutchtown. My opinions based on size of student body and quality of staff.

St. Amant. But really you'll be fine either way. Stay away from EA though.

St. Amant, but I’m biased since I am an alum and have many friends and family who are faculty.

We weren’t fond of you either.

DT,EA,and STA are all fine. The majority of people are moving towards northern Ascension parish or closer to the interstate though.

Dutchtown and I'm a father of two DTHS kids.
Both schools are very good. The difference may be a simple question as to which city do you want to be closer to on I-10, Baton Rouge or New Orleans.

Which one is further from Slidell?

You couldn't go wrong either way, but Dutchtown is approaching 3000 students for whatever those implications.
This is a school district that perennially ranks in the top 3 or 5, the underperforming west bank notwithstanding.

The correct answer is neither. Teach your kids about real life and get them to EA.
