Dutchtown.
Both school districts are good (AP puts $ into schools; certainly not roads), but much rather live in Duchtown.

Both are great schools, so it really depends on who you want to live around.
St. Amant if you want to be around a country crowd.
Dutchtown if you want to be around a new money crowd.

It totally depends on if you want your kids to be family oriented with alcohol and weed on the weekends or if you want them to be in a huge school and get hooked on blow on the weekends.

St. Amant = family town that likes to party on the weekends
Dutchtown = typical high school problems combined with cocaine.

I'm biased, though, because I'm in St. Amant's district and my kids will go there. I also married a girl from St. Amant and enjoy the shite out of this little family-oriented town. My sister teaches at Dutchtown and I hear the inside scoop of what goes on there. I would not want my kids going to Dutchtown knowing what happens there.

They will get a great education at both schools.

Another option is in Southern Livingston Parish (Diversion Canal) and send the kids to French Settlement.

Man What the frick? You just make that up on your own or referring to a particular area.

All of AP GIS is public and you can see what every parcel is assessed for and the taxes due for said parcel.

Show the OT exactly what residential parcels are 400k per 1/2 acre.

Ya big exaggeratin' Dummy!

OP can use this to look at the HS District Layer if he wants to check out properties/school districts from a sat view. On the Right side,
Ascension General Layers> HS Boundaries. Adjust the opacity to see the streets/landmarks

I laughed. It's just a stereotype of females I think.

Both schools are in the TOP 10 list of largest schools in the state. Dutchtown is #3 and St Amant is #10.
The new HS can't get here soon enough.

Take this moment to appreciate the job the administrations of both schools do day in and day out. It's truly amazing the attention they give the students on all fronts, from science and math to their mental health and performing arts/sports/etc.

It was an exaggeration, but if you want to buy a house with 2000+ sq ft on anything more than an acre, you're gonna pay for it unless you buy in Gonzales, or Donaldsonville.

Both are top public schools in the state. St.Amant more than likely has cheaper housing and more locals aka families that have been there for years and years. Dutchtown is moreso yankees from baton rouge and what not that had a white flight.
