Squall came through and blew down the only pine in my yard.

The only damn pine I have broke about halfway up and crushed my dog pen and dog house...totally flattened everything.

My dogs were in the garage or they would have certainly been killed.

I probably have 40 assorted ash, hickory, poplar, elm, red oaks, post oaks, and white oaks. They all came through fine.

Pine trees are terrible.

We had a tall one in our yard. I watched it sway back and forth last big storm and had it cut down a few days later. Not risking that.

Sorry you had to opine the loss of your pine! I want to needle you but I’m not a sap.

And you're complaining why? Wish I could have mine come down for free.

The needles breakdown and are acidic enough you won't have to mow there.

But the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Pink Bark Beatles will be after you for allowing the destruction of their habitat.

Problems of living in the South.

In atlanta every damn time a storm blows through there’s at least one or two downed pines that block a major road.

In Raleigh an ice storm would make them snap. One fell on our house and badly damaged the roof.

They’re pretty and they smell nice, but weak shite arse trees.

Sounds like northwest florida, you should have seen my parents neighborhood after Opal, the bugs get in the pines and make them super brittle

That must have smelled like a lumber yard for weeks.
