I am a huge Larry Fleet fan. I've listened to the song "Where I Find God" hundreds and hundreds of times. His voice is mesmerizing to me.

I found a different version of this song with Morgan Wallen joining him, and this might be one of the best duos I have ever heard. Think whatever you want to think about Morgan, but his vocals joined with Fleet are incredible.

quote:

And naw, I ain't too good at prayin', but thanks for everything."

Larry Fleet and Morgan Wallen - "Where I Find God"

I thought I'd share. What mainstream spiritual songs connect with you?

Good song. I saw Fleet do that one on a garden and gun video, really cool. I always liked walking in Memphis. That’s somewhat spiritual.

King Without a Crown and One Day are both excellent tracks.

How Creed songs became Texas Rangers' unofficial soundtrack for MLB playoff run

LINK

When dreaming I'm guided to another world
Time and time again
At sunrise I fight to stay asleep
'Cause I don't wanna leave the comfort of this place
'Cause there's a hunger, a longing to escape
From the life I live when I'm awake
So let's go there
Let's make our escape
Come on, let's go there
Let's ask can we stay?
… Can you take me higher?
To a place where blind men see
Can you take me higher?
To a place with golden streets

I'm no longer a religious person, but every time this song comes up on my Funk/Soul playlist, it makes me want to get up and start singing his praise. Such a great song...

The Joubert Singers - Stand On The Word

I have a few more to share, but I'll have to go dig. This one immediately came to mind bc I tried to share it with all my fellow heathens in the GMT this past Sunday.

I think the song is based on something no spiritual, but it goes there.

Love the piano…and Morgan.

When All Is Said and Done by Tyrone Wells

Heard this on the Dennis Leary show “Rescue Me” years ago. It captured me when I heard it then and it still grabs me every time I hear it.
