Box of Kraft Mac and Cheese (about .33 at the time), but no milk or butter. Squeezed some ranch dressing in there and made dinner. Not that bad, really, but I wouldn't do it again unless I had to.

Didn't feel like going to the store one night, so made a cheese and bacon sandwhich. Worst ever

I can't recall a pathetic meal in particular, but I lived off of a bag of grits for a month once. I'd go into fast food places and grab salt and pepper packets for seasoning.

I had one hotdog and one can of tuna left. That didn't go well after.

I only had a little splash of milk left so I put water on my cereal one time.

SUCKED. I felt like Craig in Friday.

I would wait for those tonys frozen pizzas to go on sale at Albertsons and buy 4-5 at $2.50 a piece. I'd skip breakfast and eat two slices a meal; make that shopping $10 shopping trip last me an entire week. Sucked like hell at the time

Killed a quail one day when camped out with some buddies in high school. Plucked it,ran a stake through it and cooked it over an open flame. We all took a bite a that charred bird. It was nasty, but we all said it was good.

I used to make grilled cheese's by sticking them in a paper bag and cooking with a clothes iron. That might be desperate.

I had to eat a filet mignon one night without any mushrooms. Times were hard.

In the spirit of the Frito Pie OP I once found myself down to just a few slices of bread and one Kraft single in the fridge. I figured what the heck so I slathered a little margarine on the bread, threw them in a pan and then added the Kraft single in the middle until it was nice and gooey. Pretty dang good, basically like a ham and cheese sandwich without the ham.

Boiled willies and tomato paste, FTW.

My mother ate room temp canned raviolli for over 2 weeks during hurricane Katrina with over 2' of standing water in her living room. Baller status. She still knocks a can back once and a while. Love you mom.

I've warmed a can of ravioli, in the can, on the defrost of an old 4x4 at 11,365 ft in Colorado.

I ate said raviolis by drinking them while driving down the mountain.
