I bought a lot of the same cassettes and CDs twice. I obviously have a love and passion for music, but being raised in an evangelical home and church..

Whenever I was caught with worldly music, it was thrown away and destroyed. Being about to get away and listen to the music I loved was how I kicked back.

This was before youtube and the internet, so it was CDs and cassettes. That played a huge part in making mr who I am.

My playlists are odd though..can be like gorgoroth, bathory, burzum and then Keith Green.

I think the first CD I ever bought was Electric Ladyland. Then pop convinced me to buy Honky Tonk Heroes.

I remember blowing $50 on that stupid, broken fricking Superman game. Worst expenditure of my life.

I'm not 100% on the first one I ever bought which bugs me, but the first one I ever stole was a Misfits cassette. And that was before I bought one..Which set the stage for me to be able to appreciate albums even with poor production.

I bought the Shaq Diesel tape from a friend for $1. Hell of a deal.

I think my very first CD purchase was the eclectic collection of Garth Brooks Greatest Hits, Green Day Dookie, Styx Greatest Hits, and Everlast Whitey Ford Sings the Blues. Not sure my parents should have let me get that last one.
