I was initially inclined to say, delete. However, if you still have texts or voicemails from your parents, keeping it around could make it easier to find them. My grandparents only ever used the rotary phone with the 25 foot long handset cord on it until they died a 6-7 years ago.

So, I should have deleted my Grandmother's contact card, but I just discovered I didn't.

I’ll delete at the end of the funeral as part of the process. No reason to waste memory that’s no longer needed.

Alright, I'm going to show a little appreciation to this morbid comedic approach.

That said, nope I certainly don't. I especially appreciate being able to pull up voicemails of loved ones who have passed.

No there is still a chance they will try and reach out

Also, I don't want to have to worry about putting them back in if our current contacts list follows us to the Great Beyond.

No.

I think the only contacts I ever deleted were gals with the last name of "bumble" or "tinder".

I don't. A couple of months after my dad died, I got a call from his phone. Eventually I made myself answer it and it was my stepmom. I can't explain the shock of seeing "Dad" popping up on my Caller ID though.

I think the way you feel is a real thing and I haven't been able to do it either.

My grandparents house is on my property and is a time capsule. Grandpa has been gone since 03 and my grandma since 2015. She still used a rotary phone and it’s still exactly where she left it. Her contact list is hand written and stapled to the wall.
