So LA is actually ranked 29th Not bad

It all depends how well that money is being spent. Texas is ranked 34th and it certainly feels as though the get more bang for their buck.

It's most punitive on people from 25,000 to 50,000 wage bracket
Ex
25,000 and under = no change
30,000 = pay 100 more
40,000 = pay 300 more
50,000 and up = pay 500 more

So a person earning 40,000 pays 300 more
A person earning 2 million pays 500 more

It doesn't seem to make much sense being who supposedly is hawking it

well, no matter how it's getting spun, everyone with half a brain knows what they are trying to do, who they're trying to do it for, and why they're doing it.

Basically, just another way for Dems to buy votes from people this caucus represents by preying upon those who would and/or could never be part of their caucus... I think there are more and more people in their caucus constituency who are coming around and seeing the grass is actually greener on the side of this that works for them to go to work, provide for their families, and live the American dream instead of living in slavery to the Democratic party. A party who will NEVER provide for them better than they can provide for themselves if they educate, motivate, and apply themselves productively and intelligently.

Can't pass the sales tax extension without a few of them, so yeah they matter when you need 70 votes.

Then so be it. time to cut all across the board in live in our means.

Oh things cost more then last year. Well people on SS and fixed incomes only had a 1.4% raise in the last few years. We, the older people had enough. Cut, cut and more cut. We worked all our lives and supported the taxes of the state. frick them now. Just cut, no need to have a crew of 10 on the side of the road with only one working. Yes, we the people see that crap everywhere across the state.

As of now, the state income tax bracket is:

2% - First $12,500
4% - Next $37,500 (up to $50,000)
6% - Earnings beyond $50,000

The proposed tax bracket would look like:

2% - First $12,500
4% - Next $12,500 (up to $25,000)
6% - Earnings beyond $25,000

Bracket ranges are doubled for joint filers.

Because frick those rich a-holes and their $30k/yr salaries!111
