It absolutely is, and it's masterminded by an African!

What a horribly lackluster animation. That looks like it was done by a high school kid.

Elon is the richest guy in the world. Crazy that Bezos can sell everything to everybody in the world and it's still more profitable to business with the US govt.

Wut? Do you have any idea how much business Amazon does with the US government?

And all of that money isn't going straight into Elon's pocket. He's invested and continues to invest a ton into r&d and hard assets, which is why Space X has advanced like this.

Musk is quoted as saying that his proceeds from PayPal's sale to eBay were $180 million. Of that amount, he famously invested all of it into his future businesses. $100 million was allocated to SpaceX, $70 million into Tesla, and then $10 million for SolarCity

One my kids is a engineer, his best friend and former Purdue classmate works for SpaceX, from what he has told their expenses are tremendous, there is little actual profitability.

How any 2 stage ship has enough Delta V to reach the moon and bring two cyber trucks. Unless this proposal changes, I just don’t see it being practical for a ship of that size without any SRB or booster other than the first stage. To have all the life support systems, fuel, and vehicles fit in that first stage is ludicrous. Its one thing to make it to LEO. It’s a whole different thing for a lunar rendezvous. I’m not holding my breath until I see the specs.

And how would the logistics work out with that?

You launch a fuel tanker Starship into LEO, you launch LunarShip into LEO, they mate in LEO, transfer fuel in LEO, tanker returns to Boca, LunarShip fires RVacs and heads into Trans-Lunar injection orbit, done. If the people at NASA didn’t think this was the best option they’d have gone with one of the other proposals.

She is likely paid off by one of the other teams that were bidding for the job, probably NTL.

Dammit. I guess they didn’t like the spreadsheet I made.

It had macros and everything, even the 3D charts. FML.
