I think this journalist was specifically talking about boxing or some sort of martial arts. Nevertheless, the whole "you need to replace this with this" attitude in this article is lazy.

I agree about physical fights (unless protecting yourself or someone weaker than yourself.

Clearly we need to stop multitasking because that takes away from our brain's ability to be in touch with our feminine and gay (but not sexual) side.

And they wonder why the women don’t respect them...pathetic

I didn't read the entire article, just the cliffs and comments. The overall take is dumb - these things aren't mutually exclusive.
I'm probably overthinking the fighting bit, but I guess I don't understand what amount of fighting is considered masculine anyway. I haven't run in any circles where a fight would be considered a masculine move in a decade.
I think the author and others who talk about fighting=masculinity give it far more credit than it deserves. It's a strawman.

You come off like a triggered snowflake. Just my observation.
Either that or you get off on starting threads you know will go 10 pages because Soy.
Both. Neither? IDK.

Fair viewpoint. Young people today are often heading out on their own wanting to live in the type environment their parents supplied for them.
Living at the parental home, most don't pay for crap but enjoy A/C, clothes being washed in many instances, cable tv, internet, home cooked meals, no monthly home generated living expenses etc.
Then they get out on their own and realize just how much these things truly cost and they are overwhelmed-----but are reluctant to settle for the efficiency apartment or something bigger to be shared with a roommate or two.
You gotta crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run.

You can self train. You can box on a heavy, shoot at the range, etc. You won’t be applying for Seal Team 6, but you can keep yourself capable.
Are people doing this though? The training, not the shooting.
I know this board prides itself on its masculinity, but are people really keeping their fighting skills sharp en masses around here?

Any kid with a drop of testosterone in 25 years will rule the world with all these cucks being produced.

Exactly. Complaining about housing prices when you're paying $1200/mth for rent is a you problem.

I was taught how to box by a professional boxer. Happened to be someone I worked with. I took shooting classes with my pistol and try to practice as much as possible. I’ve been lifting weights for a long time and have some size and considerable power. Look, I do what I can. I know damn well there are plenty of people who could kill me with ease. But I try to give myself a fighting chance. I also don’t go looking for trouble or pretend to be Batman.

Let me know when you want to swing by the dojo for some lessons.

Fighting has it’s place. The thing is to know when to walk away.

It’s not something that women are innately better at, after all
Hmmm...I wonder if they are acknowledging the fact that men and women are innately better at some things when compared to the other? That sounds like "problematic" speech to me!

When I was in High School, my boss at my part-time job told me one of the wisest things ever..."there's always someone out there bigger and/or badder than you. That's why you don't fight unless you have to. Sometimes you get surprised by who it is".
My dad gave me similiar advice when I was a tween. I asked him why he hits us as a form of discipline. He simply said something like "Son, I love you, and I know when to stop. I dont want you crossing someone that wont care about stopping"

RIGHT! I saw my first home from 15 years ago listed on MLS for about 10K more than I paid for it...and it looks a hell of a lot better now than when I first moved into it. The problem is first time buyers now would consider that home below them.

How can I downvote a person. Someone personally?
The author of the article is the epitome of how “****” refers to someone being faggy and has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

Hopefully I'm attacked by the author of the OP. Anyone else and my family is probably in trouble.
