When I was in High School, my boss at my part-time job told me one of the wisest things ever..."there's always someone out there bigger and/or badder than you. That's why you don't fight unless you have to. Sometimes you get surprised by who it is". He was a 3rd degree black belt, and spoke from experience.

Don't recall stabbing lessons, but I learned the other two. That being said, I've never actually been in a fight, which is why I asked how you're supposed to keep these skill sharp?
I guess I fail to see how "learning" to fight, but not actually fighting anyone for 20 years, does any good.

It just struck 8:00 AM on a Friday. How on Earth do many of you wake up with one goal in mind, which seems to be to search for stories that piss you off?
The OT is now less fun than ever and a lot more about who can outdo whom with a "soy" story.

You can self train. You can box on a heavy, shoot at the range, etc. You won’t be applying for Seal Team 6, but you can keep yourself capable.
