I think it would get old. People enjoy the novelty of it. This performance actually did sound pretty good, but I've seen them many other times and it is not quite as good. The little dance segment isn't going to hit week after week.

Didn't they play at LSU one time in some united effort with LSU's band after a disaster (either after 9/11 or Hurricane Katrina)?

I have seen them before and I agree with the novelty part. If I had to see all the theatrics every game, it would get old.

I used to like playing at the LA Tech golf course in the fall. It's pretty close to Grambling so, when the wind was right, you could hear the G-Unit play while getting in a quick 9.

I'm an older guy. In the 70's and 80's Grambling and Southern Bands were fun to watch. They seem to be worse now than they used to be.

Musically, UGA's band is so much better.

But Southern's band is entertaining as hell.

They are so sloppy. In both tone and lines. They move a lot and they move fast. That's about it. They sound like hot garbage and there are some huge gaps.

Why? New rule that I'm sure was explained to every player.

I didn't watch your links, but I assume that they are more HBCU bands. Musically, UGA probably could have done it better. That is my point, UGA has much more talented musicians. I'm not sure how that could be down voted.

Southern can shake their butts, so they are entertaining.

I will always enjoy Docs SU band than the past few current years.

It sounds like majority of their arrangements now are just playing whole notes very loudly.

SU band from the 80's,90's and early 00's had some outstanding arrangements.

You know it's the Human Jukebox when there are more people in the stadium at halftime than any time in the first half.

They are incredibly overrated. Their music is blasted and their formations are elementary as they stand on each 5 yd line or on each yard marker.

Saying they're the best is like saying Olive Garden is great Italian or Taco Bell is great Mexican.
