The Germans frequently honor Rommel. He's remembered as a hero in Germany.

Stonewall's foot cav was one of the toughest armies this country has put onto a field of march or battle

Was an excellent book.

One of these men is not like the other.

A little less ignorance of history and you might know that.

I sure am and I wouldn't expect you to. The fact is the south was right.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how retarded are you? I'm going with 12.

treasonous revolt t

Honest question: can a revolt be treasonous if the people committing the revolt left the Union (basically renouncing citizenship) and formed their own country? Wouldn't they simply be enemy combatants and not guilty of treason. Not that one is better than the other but for accuracy it should be cleared up.

Like I said, I'm just curious. I'm not a civil war scholar.

And yet another ignorant dumbass. As I ask every time this comes up, name a Confederate who was convicted of treason. Otherwise, STFU.

That sounds like something King George III would have said.

Revolutions have happened frequently throughout history. People long for the freedom of self rule when they are controlled by an outside government that is not responsive to them. The South lost but it wasn't because they were inferior people or because they were wrongheaded, they lost because their overall economic strength was insufficient to prevail over a more powerful opponent.

Wouldn't that make them inferior people? Or even wrongheaded?

Should have based their economy on more than agriculture.

What does that have to do with this discussion? I do consider people like you to be dumbasses, if that's any help.

You're the one who brought up lack of convictions meaning someone didn't commit treason.

See if you can work out the parallel.
