What’s your stance on posting the shark on the highway pic?

It got a bit hairy on the Northshore for a few, but it’s relatively calm for now. Took dog for a quick walk before the shite hits the fan again.

Go back and read my post.. private company can do what it wants. You a product of Louisiana public school?? Dumbass.

Not a single one of you have a clue what I asked for, and all assume I want to practice fricking biddy basketball during a tornado, which I’ve never come close to insinuating.

So it’s ok b/c it’s a private business, but if it’s the govt they have to shut down and we have to be ok with it and agree to it while still being fine with the private business not shutting down?
You should be irate at every private business that’s open simply from your al safety point of view.

I’m not seeing much on the radar to be concerned about later - what’s the issue that’s causing everyone to crap their pants?

Where you flying to/from? There's good reasons it's delayed today

I'm guessing you're on one of the flights that diverted. I see a very delayed Nola to Atlanta where the inbound went to Tallahassee. I think salt lake to Nola went to Atlanta

Nothing much in Metairie, some sprinkle and mostly wind. I’m told it will get “bad” again later so got dogs out maybe for last time.

I already addressed your stupid idea of making the decision at 6:00 in the morning. We get it, your chances at the Naismith award took a hit today but you can make it up.

Props to school admin today. It was an absolute monsoon by the kids school at pick up time. Was very happy to grab them during a light drizzle at 11am instead of dealing with that.

Not sure why they'd freak out. It has what we expected.....lots of shear, weak low level lapse rates, and one thing we didn't expect....next to no CAPE. The SRH is big, but that alone doesn't mean anything. Hodo has that sexy curve, though. Gonna take more than that. Could mean more for the line than anything else.

That 80kts of shear is indicative of what has caused the biggest worry with this system. I need to go look at the MOB observed sounding.

ETA: Mobile doesn't have a sounding.
