My cousin took this in Amity. My uneducated guess tornado. The storm was tornado warned but on the next scan the circulation went away.

That is looking back towards where on radar it was crossing between amity and Glenwood.

My mom just called and my sister had to be rescued from her car a couple of hours ago. She was driving to work (before the sun was up) on the service road and she ran into a massive amount of water. Didn’t see it until it was too late. Thank God the sunroof opened before the electrical system fried completely but she thought she was gonna die. 911 got firefighters to her location and rescued her. Mom and sister are both a wreck.

In the time that it took the wrecker to get there, there were 17 other cars in that area that got stuck in the water. Some carried off completely. This was just south of Little Rock, on I-30 right before the exit to get on 430.

Wow that’s nuts.

Sister lives Haskell/Glen Rose area and their bridge to get in and out of the area is covered and impassable.

Near Cabot is a mess. Our yard looks like a pond now. Reports of roads from Jacksonville and around Cabot flooded.

We shouldn’t be importing farmed fish from Asia due to what they feed them over there in the first place but I don’t want to derail the thread so I’ll leave it at that.

Would really like to know what effect that lightening bolt had on that wide a space.
Are those individual house we see in the lower right of that freeze frame?

I see that Jefferson Davis county Mississippi has a 5% chance of a tornado, which means that Bassfield has a 95% of a significant tornado

Over 100k without power in Arkansas.

I came to Oaklawn to kill time this morning. Now it looks like I’ll have to kill even more time. I doubt they can get the power restored quickly at the casa.

So far doesn’t look we will see any discrete cell action today at least in my area. Looks like the front is moving across Arkansas pretty fast. My phone says storms until after midnight but I’m not seeing that unless the front slows way down

Heck of a bowing line of severe storms crossing Arkansas.

Moderate risk added for today, including Memphis.

That looks like a mostly wind-driven upgrade to Moderate stemming from that bowing segment. Nasty.

Folks in Memphis and north need to really watch this line going into the afternoon. It could pack some significant wind, outside of any tornado threat.
