The ball was thrown parallel down the line but would have probably been on foul side of 3r

Because by rule her moving out the box puts her into the field of play
So if it's strike 3 and her dugout is the 3rd base side, what's the batter supposed to do? How the heck are they supposed to get from the batters box back to the dugout?

Look at the still shot
She may have actually missed the 3rd base dugout to the left

yea im with you
letter of the law saw you cant interfere
the catching turning and angling her whole body towards 3rd base dugout to me clearly signals the batter did not interfere.

If you want to try to get a cheap out, then go for it. It doesn't even take a throw though. She could have "attempted" the throw and bumped the batter to get the call.
People could think whatever they want about me, and whatever consequences that happened i would take, but if some shite like that would happen to my daughter I'm coming absolutely unglued on the kid, the ump, the coaches, the kids parents. I'm 100% leaving in hand cuffs.

Beauregard parish
Several years back a vey talented 14 major catcher drilled a guy in the face who stepped out of the box.
He did it on a steal to 3rd a couple of pitches prior. The catcher’s coaches yelled at catcher to throw through him if he did it again.
He did w runner taking a huge lead - who came home when ball careened off face of batter……
A couple of parents on batting team had to be escorted out.

IMO, she was throwing at the batter, not the base.
She should have been ejected immediately from the game and the LA sports officials should've banned her from playing in LA again.

If you want to try this bush league play, just make simple body contact with the batter

Did the catchers team win the game?
Posted on 4/22/26 at 12:46 pm to Hold That Tiger 10
Yes unfortunately
Posted on 4/22/26 at 12:47 pm to lsupride87
100% she was coached to do that.

The LHSAA should ban here now going forward

Hopefully her principal, the school board, the lhsaa...somebody..steps in and that ends her playoffs.

Without a doubt she was. I would bet every penny i own that this wasn't her first time doing that. It maybe just wasn't that egregious.

And that POS catcher made an all star team to be played next month. No way should she be allowed to play. Her, coaches and parents are POS trash.
Posted on 4/22/26 at 12:56 pm to dukesilver72
This is straight up battery. If that ball hits where the catcher planned, the batter likely ends up with a broken orbital at minimum and potentially could have even died
Posted on 4/22/26 at 12:58 pm to dukesilver72
This is a bush league play by the catcher - no way any person with upstanding morals pulls this shite.
However, the rule is based on intent and the quality of umpiring you get in LHSAA makes it a tall task for intent to be judged.
Girls are taught since 9U to stay in the box until the ball goes back to the circle precisely for this reason.
There are bush league players that will take this opportunity and hide behind the rule.

Because by rule her moving out the box puts her into the field of play
The batter was moving OUT OF THE WAY of the throw to third base. Who in the sam hill makes these stupid dangerous rules that not only can get players hurt but can give a win to the offending team?
