Exactly. On weekends and in the summer, we left the house in the mornings and came back at dusk when the streetlights came on. I would go back to those simple days in a heartbeat.

Then, you know, don't be against the death penalty?

I've come full circle recently on the death penalty. I have many issues with it as applied and executed (if you will), and I don't like the spirit of revenge (it is literally never satisfying), but I am no longer against it in theory.

I hear you.
Me too.

I don’t think anything has changed though except more media coverage than back then.

From his facebook, he'd been a manager at JimmyJohns (sandwich shop) since 2011.
The police will be checking his work records for the time she was missing.

Wonder how many people in Bluffton remember him at all, or if the Math department at USCe remembers him.

Sounds very similar to the Jessica Ridgeway case. If you are into this kind of stuff listen to the Podcast "Sword and Scale" episode 4

I hope that whoever did this dies a horrible, gruesome, agonizing death.

Funny how that works. It's never been safer to be a kid these days...

Tie the mom's tubes. No need to have parents that let their kids roam free with no supervision have any more kids.

The kid was 6 playing in the front yard in a neighborhood. She didn't leave a 3 year old out by itself by I-10

There were child stalkers back then. The only thing that has changed is the accessibility to information from around the country and world. Back in the day, a crime like this before social media would have remained local. Now it circulates throughout the world via the internet.

Investigators found a man dead inside his South Carolina home shortly after finding an item that belonged to Faye, who lived in his neighborhood, inside his trash can, authorities said.

Antley didn't directly link the death of 30-year-old Coty Scott Taylor, whose body was found at his home, to the girl's killing. But Antley said the item found in Taylor's trash Thursday was something listed on the missing person flyer created after she disappeared. He did not specify exactly what it was.

That's a wrap. Very unfortunate but it's done.

Coty Scott Taylor allowed police to check his home. Police didn't find anything. Next while seaching trashcans, they found Faye's boot she was last seen wearing.

Coty Taylor then committed suicide. Police came back and confirmed Faye's DNA in his apartment.

So he kidnapped and killed then he committed suicide.
