South Africa was once a bright spot on an otherwise desolate continent. Now it too is being destroyed. The darkness consumes and destroys all.

It’s a political shitshow and will only continue to negatively trend.
Pass on visiting as everyone I’ve known with ties to it are so pessimistic about it and most of them recommend not visiting it.

Used to travel down there for oil & gas and some work with De Beers with offshore mining for industrial diamonds.
Was pretty safe and usually clean. Would take time to do things around Cape Town and down the coast.
That place is a complete shite wreck now. Completely unsafe and filthy. Shady people out all night, every night. Borderline chaos/anarchy.
They can have that shithole.
