I'd be loading up as much of that Lebanese tea as I could carry.

It’s fashionable to award Arabs and Muslims undue credit.
Arabs contributed a lot of knowledge and advancements to the world, at least until Islam started and they began devolving.

There are literally zero good guys in the middle east. Even our pals the Kurds were complicit in the Armenian genocide.

Not to be forgotten.
Yemen fired a ballistic missile at Saudi Arabia recently. I would not be surprised if Saudi is posturing themselves for some sort of deal where Saudi agrees to let Iran/Hezbollah control Lebanon in exchange for Iran not fighting the eventual Saudi conquering of Yemen.

The Saudis believe Iran is an existential threat to them. Any accomodation will be temporary.
ETA: and Saudi Arabia and Israel have had a secret alliance against Iran for quite some time.

The Yemeni government, or the Houthi rebels?

It was fired by Yemen's defense ministry which apparently is controlled by the Houthi's since they took control of the gov't

You are about 10000 years too late.

There won't be any deals.
Iran and Saudi Arabia will never stop.

Also unstated is what role Iraq's Iranian-aligned government will play in this. We still have lots of troops over there who would be right in the middle of this shitshow.

I feel bad for the Lebanese. The country is about 40% Maronite Christian. Militarily speaking, they cannot purge themselves of Hezbollah without risking an invasion by Syria, and when Hezbollah fires a rocket into the Israeli desert, the Israelis respond by firing rockets into the densely populated areas of Beirut. They are between a rock and a hard place.

There's an episode of Anthony Bourdain's show that he was filming in Beirut when the 2006 Lebanon War started. He had to be evacuated during the middle of the episode. Half the episode is him doing his eating thing, and the second half is him being evacuated by the Marines.
